My Son...the football player!! LOL

Ryan had a preseason game today. He had to be at the field at 9:00am to be weighed in and to be sure his nails were trimmed, all the pads in his uniform, mouth piece and.....his "support". tee hee hee! The game started at 11:00 and lasted until about 1:30. Let me tell you......it was fricken AFRICA hot! Im glad I put my beach umbrella in my car before leaving. Not that I got to sit under it as my girls hogged it the whole time, so I went out to the car and got my "rain" umbrella and that worked....kinda. Better than nothin. They got to play on the actual High School field, which was nice. One of the players on our team got hurt, it was actually the coaches son, they took him to the hospital, possible a broken ankle. That sucks! Ryan was doing awesome. Then another of our players got hurt...the poor little guy was just laying on the field after taking one of the other players down, the coaches around him, then I notice the gray shirt under his yellow jersey......OMG, it was my bubby. Do you know how bad you want to run out there and make sure he is ok.....my legs wanted to run, and I actually had to hold my self back. Just saying a silent prayer that God would keep his loving arms around him and keep him safe. I know that they dont want the parents running on the field if their child is hurt. The coaches announced this in the begining of the practices. They said if they need us they will call us out there. Bubby layed out there for a bit. His dad said "if he is laying there he's hurt" Cause Ryan isnt one to lay there. If he can handle it he will jump right back up. So we sit there waiting, tick tock, tick tock. The coaches back away, one gives Ryan his hand and helps him up. People are clapping, he is walking OK so I know its not that bad. One of the coaches grabbed a towel and put ice in it and put it on Ryans arm. Than another one grabbed some arm brace thingy and put it on Ryans right arm. And sent him back in to play. He's a tough one, that boy of mine. But on the inside.....a true lover. Mmmm I love my son!! Game proceeds on and Ryan is playing running back, he gets passed the ball and runs half the field one boy tried to pull him down but TOUCH DOWN!! My bubby scored a touch down. "Who's the man!" Than he scored an extra point for the team. They ended up losing 12 - 7. But it was a good game. His dad brought him home and I told him how proud I was of him. That he played awesome. While I was checking our his arm he says to me....::get the tissue:: "Mom, I scored that touch down for you" OMG! Does that just tug at yer heart....::heavy sigh:: Have I told you how much I love my boy?????

What happened to his arm is he tackled this boy and then some one pounced on top of Ryan, shoving Ryans right elbow into the opponents face mask. I dont know if it got lodged in there or what but its bruised pretty good. He says it doesnt hurt. My poor sweet angel faced little man.

He just announced he has to go take a "gianormous poop". Mmmm I love that boy!!!!

Thats him to the left of the referee in the second photo. He doesnt have his number yet.

UPDATE: The team mom just sent out an email regarding the coaches son, Shane. He broke both of the lower bones in his leg and is in a cast up to his hip. Poor kid!! He will be in a wheel chair and then onto crutches. They are keeping him overnight at the hospital for observation. He will continue on the team by going to all the practices and games. Poor little guy will have to start school like that.... We are sending him a Black and Gold balloon bouquet.

My sick boy...

Ryan had a fever from Saturday evening until this morning. Monday (picture day} he got up in the morning and watched some football on TV. (cause he is gonna be a professional football player one day and buy me a HUGE house....or so he says LOL) I will love him no matter what! Anyway after taking some tylenol for his fever he watched football for about 30 minutes and then fell asleep for another 5 hours on the couch...poor bubby. He is all better today and he went to football practice which is Monday thru Friday 5:30 - 7:30 pm and he scored FOUR touch downs against his own defense. (they played against each other) I dont know whether thats a good thing or a bad thing!! LOL Have a great night!

OK, tonite I knew where my camera was AND it was fully charged so I took a couple....ok a few pictures of the moon coming up tonite. The pictures really do it no justice. We have an awesome view from the house and mountains and the moon was coming up from behind the mountain and you cant see it or the lights of the city. Maybe one day I will learn to take pictures at night.

Today Katie is a Freshman. Yup I have my first child in high school now. Eekkkkk. She said she wasnt nevous, but when she started to tear up and cry alittle I knew she was. She said she really wants to do well, to totally apply herself and go to summer school this summer so she wont have to work as hard in the coming years. She is working toward the medical field. I hope she holds onto this goal as I SUCKED in school. Not that I didnt apply myself. I just struggled. Im afraid Savannah will be the same way. I am trying to work with her early and get her to concentrate more. We will see.

Ryan has had a fever since Saturday....104. I hate fevers. But he seems ok. He did break down and he cried when it hit 104.4 and he was getting in the tub. My poor little man cub. So Im home from work today. And I have a migrane. It seems every other month I have more painful ones. Does anyone know why?? Last month it wasnt that bad but the month before it was horrible. I mean they are debilitating. I feel myself squinting as I look at the screen because the screen bothers my eyes...but yet I still sit here and type. Ha!

Ryan (my bubby) has started to play football. Its his first year. He is doing great! I think he is a natural. Unfortunatly I know NOTHING about football. He and three other boys are rotating between being the center, quarter back an running back....I think. LOL. His practice is from 5:30pm - 7:30pm everyday! They work these boys hard. But they are all doing a great job and hanging in there. They had their first skrimage (sp?) against another team yesterday. They did great. Ryan even got a touch down!! I do know what that is!! Whoo hoo Son!! Mamma was all excited. So here are a few pictures I took yesterday. Enjoy~That is Ryan hiking the ball. And the others are just a bunch of action shots. Some of you know or are friends with my friend Renee, http://cid-70b674dd9eabf067.spaces.live.com/friends/. She text me this morning saying that her mom passed away at 3:00 this morning. Cardiac arrest. She was 64. Her mother had suffered a stroke over a year ago and was in the hospital for a really long time recovering. Just recently she was moved to a rehabilitation home to help her. Renee was in the process of looking for a place to put her here in San Diego. As her mom lived in Las Vegas. My heart aches for her so bad, as I know how she feels. I wish I could do something for her but all I can do is let her know I am here for her. I am so sorry for your loss Renee.

The trip went well, I will blog about it later, I am sooo exhausted. Got back very late last night, and had to work today. Here are a few picture of my 100 year old grandma. I will add more later.

I won't be on spaces for a week. The kids and I are flying to Florida for MY Grandma's 100th birthday. We leave July 22 early in the morning and come back July 28th late at night. So this weekend Im trying to get everything together, get some new shorts for me and the girls. New shoes for the boy and just get the house clean so when I come back I dont have to come back to a messy house! Dont miss me too much. Kisses to you all.....

Yesterday afternoon, Chequette invited us to go to the VFW hall as Sunday is Family Karaoke night. Marissa is an awesome singer anyway, Ryan decided after a couple hours he wanted to sing so he found the song he wanted filled out the card and gave it to the man. Savannah also decided she wanted to sing too. Both wanted the other to sing first and I said "lets just see whos name the man picks first" I knew it would be Ryan since he turned his paper in first, but thought the kids wouldn't realize that...sneaky momma! So after about 30 minutes he calls Ry up to sing and Ryan tells me he doesnt want to do it now, so I told him he need to go tell the man and he did. That made Savannah next, she sang "This Kiss" by Faith Hill. She did great, but needed to put the mike closer to her mouth and thats what the dj guy kept trying to do and she kept fighting him and pushing it away. It was comical. Just as Savannah was finishing Ryan decided he was ready to go for it. The song he picked was Bryan Adams, Everything I Do, from the Robin Hood movie with Kevin Costner. OMG! He has this little whisky voice and he was so cute, and everytime he sang "everything I do, I do it for you" and "I would die for you" He would look right at me...I started to cry. I knew he was singing this song to/for me. It was a beautiful thing. I videoed it on my phone but its really hard to hear and see. I will see if Katie can put it on here for me....cause I aint gotta clue!!! Then he decided he wanted to sing AC/DC You Shook Me All Night Long. It was really funny cause the whole place was hooting for him. They called him their new celebrity. Oh and after he sang Bryan Adams, some lady yelled "Will you marry me"!! LOL A couple other ladies said he made them cry too. And Savannah sang again, she sang Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden. Her dad used to play that when she was little like two years old and up and he would hold her close in his arms and dance with her. She LOVED it! She dedicated the song to him when she was done....even though he wasnt there. It was a good time!!

I hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July!!

We went to the beach again...actually found parking. I took three extra kids with me. Just a couple of pictures that Katie and Marissa took. They walked out onto a rock jetty.

This last photo is Marissa. She is part mexican and instead of using sunscreen with spf 50 to keep from burning she uses it to keep from getting darker! LOL. Poor thing. She tans so easy its a curse. And yes that is BIRD CRAP they are walking on!!!

Ryan and I were having a little Mommy and son time laying on my bed the other night talking about his fears of someone breaking in his dads house and shooting him. (his dad) And someone hurting me when Ryan isnt with me. I told him that he needs to say his prayers and ask God to keep his loving arms around us and keep us safe from all harm. And that there is nothing else Ryan can do about it. He just needs to put it in God's hands and let it go. Such worries for a 9 year old. I mean he was crying, he said "mom, I dont know what I would do it you died". Ugh. As Ryan and I were talking Savannah comes in and kneels next to my bed and I am kinda ignoring her as Ryan was trying to talk. When he was done I rolled over and asked Savannah what was going on....she was shaking. She said that the TV came on by itself. I told her the TV was on. She said she turned it off since no one was watching it. I said hmm thats weird and kinda blew it off. She walked out of the room and then came back in and she said "Mom, when did Grandma Jeannie die"? I said 5 years ago. She said "No, what day" I said March 6th. She said "Oh.....well when the TV came back on it was on chanel 306" ! I said huh, thats funny.....

Another unexplained thing happened to Kate last night. Tuesday Chequette took Kate and Marissa and got their cartilage pierced in the top part of their ear. She did this for Katies bday present. I told Katie this is her last piercing! LOL So last night I went to bed a little after 11:00pm and Katie stayed up for awhile. She came in my room at I dont know what time....I was out...she wakes me up and says "Mom?" I wake up and say "what?" She says "the water in the kitchen just came on by itself" I was so tired and didnt want to deal with it and said "oh its probably the water in the water cooler, glubbing" meaning bubbles in the water bottle on the cooler. She said "no its the sink" And I fell back to sleep. So this morning I asked her what she was talking about last night and she said that she was in the bathroom washing her face and cleaning her ear, she shut off the water and was drying her face and she could still hear water running so she walked out into the kitchen and the sink faucet was on. She turned it off and just stared at it while thinking "hmm maybe Savannah isnt exagerating" Thats when she came in and woke me up. Savannah was home the other night alone and I was just down the road at Chequette's and she called me all freaked out telling me to come home. She was out front in the street holding the cat when I got home. She says she walking toward the kitchen (you can walk into the kitchen on one side and walk out the other side) and saw a light flash across the hall way at the other entrance to the kitchen. So she grabbed the cat and ran into my room and locked the door. She said something was banging on the door like it was trying to get in the room. So she took the spare cell phone I have for the kids and ran out the garage door in my room and ran out to the street and stayed out there until I got home. We came in and checked the house and everything was ok. There was this little wooden ginger bread man hanging on the wall in the kitchen and that had fallen down and I put it back up and let it fall to the counter and asked her if that was the noise that she heard and she said "yes" so we just kinda blew that off. I dont know if you all recall the glass cracking in Katies room last year and also the little door bell Katie had on her wall outside her room going off on me...when there were no batterys in it. I was telling Randy, the kids dad about it today and he said we are wierd. I told him Im fine with it as long as it doesnt hurt anybody. That is if it is an "it"

The kids and I had another fun day at the beach. I did apply sunscreen to my feet this time. But my legs got alittle red today. I cant figure it out...last time unfortunatly all I had was a SPF 10 and I didnt get burned, this time I had SPF 30 and my thighs are burned. What the heck??? Any how here are a few pictureCrowded beach.Savannah running, Ryan with boogie board, Brandon (katies man).The boardwalk. That is the Belmont roller coaster if anyone has ever heard of it. Its a wooden roller coaster from a longgg time ago and it still runs. I got whip lash on it once! This is Pacific Beach in San Diego, in case you wanna look it up. The day went fine. One of my co-workers brought me a cake, Dave got Pizza and salad for lunch. I got a call from Katie requesting me to be at Chequettes at 6:00pm. I said to her "you need me to pick you up at 6"? and she said "just be here at 6, I love you bye" Pfff....whatever. I knew she had something planned. Long story short I got over there, she had baked me a cake and got me a bag of Funyuns (sp?) and a $15.00 McDonalds card and 4 balloons. I guess she had rode down to the store and got this huge A$$ mylar balloon along with the littler ones....but it got stuck on a nail as she pulled into the garage and popped. She was quite upset. Chequette was working but she, Marissa, Jr. (son) and Grandma all got me a dozen beautiful burnt orange tiny roses with baby's breath. Very pretty. I will post a pic. So it was a good evening. Then this morning I had to register Katie for High School and after that I was taking her back home and she said to me "mom, do you know how much money I spent on you yesterday"? I told her I didnt want to know, but she told me anyway. $50.00. I said where did you get 50 bucks? Her dad brought her 20 yesterday morning after I had left for work and told her to get something for me from her and Savannah and Ryan, then she used her birthday money that her grandma had given her. I told her she shouldnt have used her money....but some how she seemed pleased. They all made me birthday cards, they are so sweet. I will post what they say. I am at work right now. Just wanted to fill everybody in on my evening. Oh yeah and I had to go to the DMV to renew my license, probably because of my ticket . I had to pay $28.00, have my vision checked, my picture taken . And the written test.... I had to sit with all the 16 year olds taking their tests for the first or second time (or so I heard). Dang did I feel old. Any who, I passed, I dont know how many I missed, I asked the lady and she said she didnt know, as she wasnt grading the tests some other girls were. But I was a happy girl err umm lady.....ahhhh old woman? Hope you all have a great day! Oh and Thank you all for the Happy wishes XXOO

I know some of you are thinking "Is this woman freakin crazy!!" Katie wanted her belly button pierced when she was 12 and I told her no she was too young. Her dad told her 14, I agreed. Man, I didnt think those two years would go so fast. I totally forgot about it and she reminded us yesterday. I tried to talk her out of it and basically so did Chequette. Told her all the scary stories. Nope, she didnt care. So she re verified with her dad that it was ok and we called Chequette and Marissa to go along so they could hold her hand. Little did we know it would up being 8 people coming along! She did great though. I had thought about getting mine done too, but after seeing it with my own eyes, Ummmmm Im thinking NOT! The guy who did it was awesome, he actually was the owner of the place it is called Dutch Touch and his name is Dutch....go figure. But he was great with her, she was really nervous, shaking and she actually started to cry a little. But she went through with it. Dutch told me he was going to distract her as he did it and he did! He was talking to her about school and other things and BAM, she was done. She said it didnt hurt too bad.
